Description
English: Four men next to a locomotive, and one on the front of it, with five passenger cars behind, in a grassy area of a street. The Glenelg Railway Company train is in Althorpe Place (now named Colley Terrace), Glenelg, South Australia, terminus of the line from North Terrace, Adelaide. The locomotive, originally owned by the Adelaide, Glenelg and Suburban Railway Company, is 4-4-0 tank locomotive no. 3, built by Robert Stephenson and Company. In the distance is a building in Jetty Road.

The library's web page states that a higher-resolution image (size 26 MB) is available for purchase from them. I have improved some exposure, contrast and colour values and removed some blemishes and chemical marks from the image as downloaded.
