German postcard with the flags of the German Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the dynasty colours of the Hapsburg monarchy (taken collectively, the flags of the 'Central powers' of the First World War, before being joined by Bulgaria), and the Reichskriegsflagge (war-ensign) of the German Empire, a motto, & a small, partly hand-coloured black & white portrait-photograph of a German Soldier in uniform inserted by its corners into 4 slits on the postcard-face.WWI-era postcard art.Wittig collection.item 52.obverse.scan.jpg. Pencil & coloured-pencil drawing on paper, drawn on a printed "Feldpostkarte" blank. Artwork of front is . Back has addressing information for the recipient, but not the sender, no postal markings. Postally unused? Created in 1915, according to the date inscribed on the front. Not yet transcribed or translated. More information would be appreciated; feel free to transcribe/translate. Wittig collection, item 52; private collection, fam. Wittig et cie.
Created in 1915; therefore obviously pre-1923; uploaded here to avoid Commons' "dual jurisdiction" PD rule.
