MOUNTAIN GORILLA (Gorilla gorilla beringei). Of all living animals, the gorilla appears tobe most nearly like man. The adult males mav reach a weight of 500 pounds. Their strength istremendous, and they are dangerous when enraged. They are found in the rain forests in thehighlands of the eastern Belgian Congo.
