Description
Deutsch: Zeitgenössisches Porträt Friedrichs II. von Preußen. Das Porträt entstand 1763 auf Schloss Salzdahlum, dem Sommersitz der Schwester von Friedrich II., Herzogin Philippine Charlotte von Braunschweig. Es handelt sich um das einzige Porträt zu dem Friedrich II. während seiner Regierungszeit, also ab 1740, Modell gesessen hat. Das Porträt wurde am Samstag, 10. Oktober 2009 im Auktionshaus Bolland & Marotz in Bremen für EUR 670.000 verkauft. Das Bild wird als deutsches Kulturgut eingeschätzt, weshalb es auch nach dem Verkauf in Deutschland verbleiben musste.
