Proveniens Type: samling Tidligere placering: Industriforeningens Bibliotek Beskrivelse Litograf af Frederiksholms Tegl- og kalkværker, der lå i Kongens Enghave ved Kalvebodstrand. Fabrikken blev anlagt af brødrene Oscar og Vilhelm Køhler, hhv. tømrer- og murermester i 1871, og blev i 1873 overdraget til aktieselskab, som Vilhelm Køhler var direktør for. Fabrikken producerede alt fra stenkalk, mørtel og finere facadesten, til glaserede sten i rødt og gult ler, og beskæftigede i højsæsonen fra april til november ca. 400 medarbejdere. Til fabrikken var der bygget arbejderboliger, med skole tilknyttet.

Fabrikken afgravede området for materialer gennem 30-40 år, men indstillede produktionen omkring 1908. Selskabet ønskede derefter at udvikle landområdet og indgik i 1916 overenskomst med Københavns Havnevæsen om at omdanne den store lergrav til et havnebassin, Teglværkshavnen
