Description
English: Hurricane Franklin of the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season shortly before it attained its peak intensity as a high-end Category 4 major hurricane over the open Atlantic Ocean as imaged by the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) aboard NOAA's GOES-16 satellite on August 28, 2023. Franklin had estimated 1-min sustained winds of 150 mph (240 km/h) and an estimated minimum central pressure of 931 mbar (27.5 inHg) at the time this image was captured.
