Summary

Description
English: On the 2. day of the Fourth Battle of Komárom (30 July-3 August 1849) the Hungarian garrison led by General György Klapka crushed the Austrian siege blockade of Komárom on the Southern shore of the Danube, liberating completely the fortress, and capturing important provisions and many enemy soldiers and weapons. After the battle the Austrians retreated from Western Hungary until near the Austrian border.
