English: Brierley Hill was originally part of the ancient parish of Kingswinford in the county of Staffordshire. In 1894 Brierley Hill became an Urban District (including the villages of Brierley Hill and Pensnett). It was greatly expanded in 1934, when it took in the Quarry Bank and Kingswinford districts. In 1966 it was incorporated into the County Borough of Dudley.
