Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Reserve Grumman F-14A-140-GR Tomcat (BuNo 162709) from Fighter Squadron 201 (VF-201) "Hunters" fires an AIM-54 Phoenix missile in August 1987. This marked the first live AIM-54 shot by a U.S. Naval Reserve squadron. VF-201 transitioned to the F-14 in 1987 and received the last-built F-14As.
