Summary

Description A U.S. Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4C-15-MC Phantom II (s/n 63-7420), top, and a German Lockheed F-104G Starfighter (63-13269) aircraft on a training mission. The aircraft were, respectively, from the 310th and 69th Tactical Fighter Training Squadrons, 58th Tactical Training Wing, 12th Air Force, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona (USA). The F-104G is carrying two training AIM-9J Sidewinder missiles on the wing tips. The F-4C 63-7420 was retired to the AMARC as FP0295 on 23 August 1989. The F-104G 63-13269 had been originally licence-built by Fokker in the Netherlands for the German Luftwaffe (Air Force), but operated at Luke AFB in USAF colours to train German F-104 pilots. It was later sold to Taiwan.
