Description
Español: Fue adoptado por el Consejo Directivo de la Universidad del Cauca mediante el Acuerdo Nº 75 del 7 de noviembre de 1922. Consta de una mano que levanta una antorcha, en cuyo entorno se puede leer la frase latina "Posteris lumen moriturus edat" (Quien ha de morir deje su luz a la posteridad).
English: It was adopted by the Governing Board of the University of Cauca by Decision No. 75 of November 7, 1922. It consists of a hand lifting a torch, around which you can read the Latin phrase "posterised edat moriturus lumen" (who must die let your light to posterity).
