English: Ernst Neumann (1834 - 1918 was Physician (Pathology and Hematology) at the University of Koenigsberg/ Prussia, todays Kaliningrad. He described for the first time 1868 the bone marrow as blood forming organ and the common Stem Cell for all blood cells. The scientist of the medal was Stanislaus Cauer (1867-1943). The original golden medal is lost in Koenigsberg 1945 - Bronze Medals exists in the FNS see below
