Summary

English: The entry of Nikephoros II Phokas, proclaimed as Byzantine emperor by his troops, into Constantinople through the Golden Gate in 963. Miniature from the 13th-century Skylitzes Chronicle (Cod. Vitr. 26-2, folio 145b).
