WILLIAM JULIUS MICKLE POET BORN AT LANGHOLM 29TH SEPTEMBER 1734 DIED AT FORREST HILL, NEAR OXFORD 1788. TRANSLATOR OF "THE LUSIAD" AUTHOR OF "CUMNOR HALL" AND "THERE'S NAE LUCK ABOOT THE HOOSE". |
