DescriptionDavid Greig shop sign at 257 Old Kent Road, London. Photo taken in November 2019.jpg
English: Photo of a David Greig shop sign, uncovered during shop remodelling works in November 2019 at 257 Old Kent Road. David Greig was a supermarket chain that rivalled Sainsbury's after a disagreement. They went out if business in the early 1970's after multiple bereavements. The sign is in fantastic condition and was hidden behind a dry-cleaners frontage, which was also notable for its age stemming back to the era of the '01' telephone dialling code for London. The sign is due to be covered over again soon (November 2019).
