English: Portrait of the wife of a purser in the East India Company's service, with two of her children This shows the mother and siblings of the boy in Museum no. P.24-1923. Her husband was a purser in the East India Company 's service. The miniature was painted in London, possibly for the woman's husband to carry with him.
