Summary

Description
English: The 32m high tower at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre provides a great view. The bridge to the fore is the Tramway Bridge dating from 1823. The tramway transported coal to Shipston-on-Stour. Had engineer William James had his way, this could have been the very first railway with steam locomotives providing the power. The more distant bridge is the Clopton Bridge, dating from the end of the 15th century and financed by wealthy merchant Sir Hugh Clopton. It's mid-April and leaves are beginning to emerge on the trees.
