Português: Segundo a publicação feita pela Junta de Freguesia de Arroios em 19 de Novembro de 2016 a anunciar o novo brasão de armas da freguesia de Arroios, este é o seu significado:

Este é mais um símbolo identitário da freguesia, que reflete a história e a atualidade deste lugar tão desejado.

  • O bastão de esculápio representa a educação, a cultura e a saúde, em referência aos antigos conventos que mais tarde foram transformados em hospitais.
  • A rosa heráldica simboliza as mulheres e o misticismo associado a Arroios, bem como as antigas freguesias de Pena e Anjos.
  • O livro e besante com cruz evocam a cultura, a educação e as armas de São Jorge em representação de São Jorge de Arroios.
  • As burelas ondadas representam os diversos regueiros e pequenos cursos de água que passam na freguesia e estiveram na origem do topónimo Arroios.
