DescriptionBeufre Barn at Beufre Farm, Beaulieu, New Forest - geograph.org.uk - 36411.jpg
English: Beufre Barn at Beufre Farm, Beaulieu, New Forest. This barn is part of Beufre Farm alongside the Beaulieu-Buckler's Hard road. It is the location for the Beaulieu Estate local producers' market held on various Sundays. Beufre was one of the granges run by lay brothers of the Cistercian monastery at Beaulieu, but this barn does not date from before the dissolution (unlike the one at nearby St Leonards). There is little naturally occurring stone in the Forest, but plenty of clay, hence the prevalence of brick-built structures.
