Summary

Description
English: The proportion of households in Holyoke, Springfield, and surrounding towns in the Pioneer Valley as estimated by the American Community Survey in 2016. US Census defines this metric as the percentage of all ACS occupied housing units where a Spanish or Spanish Creole language was assigned as the household language and no one ages 14 years and over speaks English only or speaks English 'very well'.


The block groups with the highest proportions lie within Holyoke at the Churchill (54.2%), and South Holyoke (52.5%) neighborhoods; whereas the block group with the highest proportion in Springfield lies in the Memorial Square (49.8%) area.
