English: Altrincham station Cars 1002 and 1007 wait coupled together to form a northbound service. The operation of coupled cars on Metrolink is quite unusual, although the large crowds of passengers offering at some times of the day would make it desirable. The problem, basically, is lack of sufficient rolling stock.
