Summary

Description
English: This image shows the Abo Formation in a road cut at its type section in Abo Pass, New Mexico, USA. The Abo Formation is a Permian red bed formation prominent across much of New Mexico. The beds here belong to the Cañon de Espinoso Member. The small topmost bed at far left, in front of the tree, is likely the base of the Yeso Group.
