English: Photo #: 80-CF-4184-14 Curtiss XF9C-1 Sparrowhawk fighter (Bureau # A8731) Hooks onto the trapeze landing gear of USS Akron (ZRS-4), while landing on the airship, 3 May 1932. Photographed from inside Akron's hangar. Pilot is Lieutenant Howard L. Young, who is reaching out to guide the trapeze's stabilizing arm into a corresponding fitting on the plane's upper wing.
