Summary

Description
English: 20th Bombardment Squadron Boeing B-17F-85-BO Fortress 42-30082 being serviced at Ain M'lila Airfield, Algeria. Aircraft markings include a red circle around its fuselage "Star and Bars", used only briefly in the fall of 1943. Later assigned to the 419th Bomb Squadron (301st BG), this aircraft survived the war, returning to the United States in September 1945. It was scrapped shortly afterwards.
