Description1982 VAM Lerma 620 four-door liftback with 4.6 L at 2017 AMO convention 08of20.jpg
English: 1982 VAM Lerma 620 four-door sedan with a liftback or hatch to access cargo area. Made in Mexico by Vehiculos Automotores Mexicanos, the Lerma combined the AMC Concord compact-sized sedan with the rear design featured on the liftback version of the subcompact AMC Spirit (rather than the regular trunk of the Concord). The Lerma represented VAM's entry into the luxury market segment. Standard was VAM's 282 cu in (4.6 L) six-cylinder engine - a unique version of AMC's venerable straight sixes.
Photographs were taken during the 2017 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention that was held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This show was organized by the Potomac Ramblers Automobile Club.
