Deutsch: Goldscheibe mit Reiterdarstellung, Kreis Reutlingen, 7. Jhd.; Württembergisches Landesmuseum Stuttgart. Die 1929 in einem Frauengrab entdeckte goldene Scheibe stammt ursprünglich von einem Pferdegeschirr. Dargestellt ist ein bewaffneter Reiter, der einen Gegner niederreitet. Sich zur Wehr setzend, stößt dieser jedoch sein Schwert in das Pferd. Auf dessen Kruppe steht eine kleine Figur, die dem Reiter den Speer führt. Deuten lässt sich dieser kleine Sieghelfer als Odin, der dem Reiter zum letzten Triumph vor dem eigenen Fall verhilft. |
