English: "The Ship St Andrew", (Pennsylvania Gazette, Penn), 2 Nov 1749, p.3 This vessel the brigantine Saint Andrew , was owned by wealthy Scottish Merchant Andrew Sprowle . The vessel was made numerous intra American voyages from Virginia to the Caribbean trading in rum, merchandise and slaves, including an 1749 voyage to Antigua to pickup slaves.
